Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist

Location: Des Moines, IA

Contract Duration: 12 months (potential extension)

Start Date: December 2, 2024

Hourly Rate: 33-53/hr W2 Contract 

Join our well known insurance client, as an IAM Specialist and play a key role in managing user access and security across the organization. This position offers a chance to contribute to critical IT operations within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer access rights and entitlements to IT/IS systems, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Perform user provisioning and de-provisioning (e.g., Active Directory, Exchange, SAP).
• Verify proper authorization for access and complete all tasks within established SLAs.
• Work closely with end users, vendors, security leads, and other teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and escalate issues requiring resolution, maintaining organization and adherence to processes.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of access rights administration and user provisioning.
• Ability to audit and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and capable of managing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle challenging situations, such as requests to bypass processes, by escalating to leads when necessary.
