Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to plan, execute, and oversee quality control tests, system configurations, and end-user support for critical business processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, insurance industry knowledge, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Administration:
- Prepare requirements documentation for system modifications.
- Advocate for qTest, JIRA, and test automation methodologies.
- Conduct testing of configuration changes and facilitate user acceptance testing.
- Configure products, workflows, and business rules on EOE systems and LifePro.
- Support distributor data needs and resolve production issues.
- Implement product and forms changes, including carrier questions and rate updates.
- Act as project lead for EOE and product-related initiatives.
- Provide weekly project status updates and participate in carrier forums to track industry changes.
Testing:
- Define test plans, conduct unit tests, and coordinate with QA testers.
- Validate test results, log defects, and manage defect resolution.
- Perform end-to-end testing for product and forms changes.
- Utilize qTest and JIRA with Confluence for testing and project workflows.
Support:
- Assist users with technical and business inquiries.
- Support onboarding of broker-dealers and financial entities on distributor platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of related experience, including:
- 2+ years with XML and SQL.
- Insurance industry experience with annuity principles and products.
- Hands-on experience with LifePro, EOE platforms, Firelight, VTxml tool, and XML Spy.
- Familiarity with ACORD standards, DTCC files, RepPro, Ebix, and Affirm platforms.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and technical tools like LifePro.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent multitasking and deadline management in a fast-paced environment.
