As part of your responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a refreshed cloud operating model while ensuring compliance with upcoming NYDFS cybersecurity requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute technical AWS project plans, proposals, reports, tasks, and administrative documentation.
- Lead the implementation of our cloud operating and governance model, tracking progress and ensuring successful delivery.
- Collaborate with a talented team to develop project plans, deliver solutions, and produce planning documentation.
- Define project requirements and identify solutions that align with our methodology, policies, and regulations.
- Stay ahead of NYDFS cybersecurity requirements, developing comprehensive plans to achieve compliance within required timeframes.
- Ensure the quality assurance of project deliverables and align the cloud operating model with industry frameworks such as ISO, NIST, and CIS.
- Act as the primary contact in project meetings with senior leaders and technical staff, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide leadership guidance and direction to ensure timely completion of work.
- Manage project resources effectively, aligning demand and allocations according to defined metrics.
- Coordinate interdependencies, risks, and issues across assigned projects within the portfolio.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to determine operational requirements and objectives, streamlining processes and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with Technology management, risk management groups, and cybersecurity teams to develop and track remediation action plans.
- Engage vendors within the project to ensure their responsibilities are met.
- Leverage the talents of the project team by assigning individuals with the right skills at the right time.
- Capture meeting minutes and action items, ensuring timely distribution and completion.
- Proactively anticipate and address potential problems or situations that could impact project success.
- Provide constructive feedback to increase individual and team effectiveness.

Experience:
- 7+ years of technical/professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience successfully leading complex projects.
- Working knowledge of AWS Cloud technology.
- Experience with current and proposed NYDFS cybersecurity regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in utilizing resource tools to manage capacity, forecast demand, and allocate resources.
- Experience managing complex cross-functional and technology projects/programs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with SDLC processes, including Agile, Waterfall, or blended methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira.
- Comfort working in a matrixed environment.
- Previous experience in insurance or financial services is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, etc.).
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- AWS certifications are a plus.
- ITIL/ITSM certification is a plus.
- CISSP, CRISC, and/or CISA certifications are a plus.
