Job Description for Advanced Technical Support Role

Position: Advanced Technical Support Technician
Location: 100% Onsite – West Des Moines, IA
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary Range: $58,000–$75,000

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Technical Support Technician to join a dynamic team. This role focuses on resolving complex technical issues, managing escalations, and providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders. You will collaborate with various teams, support infrastructure needs, and play a key role in maintaining and improving IT systems and processes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze and resolve advanced software, hardware, and infrastructure incidents.
  • Manage and prioritize ticket queues, escalating and resolving issues promptly.
  • Consult directly with users to assess needs and improve processes.
  • Provide hands-on assistance for hardware and software installations, configurations, and repairs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and business initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for hardware, software, and processes.
  • Conduct testing and validation for system deployments and upgrades.
  • Maintain integrity and quality of data structures and support change management processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Microsoft certifications preferred).
  • 4–7 years of advanced technical support experience or 6+ years of overall support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows/Mac operating systems, networking protocols, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with scripting, light coding, or database queries.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM–1:00 PM
